Cannes someone find me a Palais to sleep in?

I know other people find this interesting: 

A few days ago I had to opportunity to interview Bryce Dallas Howard, Gus Van Sant, Mia Wasikowska, and Henry Hopper. It was an amazing opportunity that I am SO happy I was thrown into. 

I’ve seen countless others, many on the Pirates red carpet:

Penelope Cruz, Johnny Depp, Uma Thermon De Niro (when don’t I see him?!) Jude Law

The first day it was Adrian Brody, Owen Wilson, Rachel McAdams, Woody Allen, DeNiro

We ran into Sarah Jessica Parker in the lobby of the Majestic, Emily Browning, and DeNiro about three times. Just today, Kirsten Dunst there. Majestic is baller status.

Went to a Calvin Klein Red Carpet event where Uma Thurman was, Vanessa Hudgens, Rosario Dawson… oh and my phone that was supposed to be used in the US was stolen on that red carpet. 

It’s not even noon and I am exhausted. I bowed out of sitting in on a press conference with Antonio Banderas in lieu of sitting on the palais balcony to rest my feet. I am doing and working mucho hard, none of the other interns are here today/in yet and I have already (probably) sweat through two shirts. This internship is amazing, the responsibilities I have beens given surpass any other internship I have had. Its a film festival but I haven’t seen a film. Okay, well, I did last night. 1. Being here only reminds me that I love the entertainment industry. No one has said anything explicitly, but I feel comfortable that my boss (who I am personal assistant to) likes me. I will certainly be bringing up the idea of staying in contact with her for a year down the road when I face real world. Aside from professionally facing real world a year from now it is coming to my attention that I face the real world in under a week. I’m really not ready. If I thought that leaving the beach was going to be hard, leaving Cannes Festival world will be crazy difficult. 

Got home early from work to tie up some france ends in which I cried for the first time about leaving (or teared up..) when I closed my bank account and my telephone. 

I wish I was updating more because I am doing so much I won’t remember it but I am exhausted. And a little sick. We wake up to go to Cannes and get back anywhere from 1-4 and go right back to bed. 

Tomorrow I am interviewing ceLeBZ

Yesterday was amazing. Our boss keeps saying that time is very “fluid” here at the film fest… he is right. People are running on french time and then tack on an extra 2 hours late. So far the media company that I am interning for is paid by other company’s for specific footage and tasks. It is Ed, the boss and Dave, the cameraman and then all of us interns. 8. All have expressed specific interest in different things and I have been lucky to acquire something very similar to the production management that I love. I am organizing all of the events that we have been hired to do from different companies so that it is organized.
